Supreme Court's Ruling Allows Corporate Campaign Spending
On January 21, 2010 the US Supreme Court ruled that corporations can now spend unlimited funds on political campaigns. The New York Times article by Adam Liptik, in my opinion, did a great job of summarizing the facts in this split decision by the nations highest court.

Days ago Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH 1st Dist.) was addressing what she thought was a friendly crowd. However someone near the front had a video camera rolling.

Jon Stewart and Obama's Teleprompter Addiction
Did you ever stop to think how the politicians of old did it? Did Abraham Lincoln memorize, as many of us had to do in grade school, his short speech that he gave at the hallowed ground of the Gettysburg Cemetery? Or what about any famous orator? How did they give riveting speeches without a teleprompter?

Nancy Pelosi called Horrible Woman by CNN
CNN is a pretty liberal cable news network. They can't deny that. Jack Cafferty, one of their staff reporters, did a story about a Congressional delegation that spent millions of taxpayer dollars going to Copenhagen, Denmark in December 2009.

Scott Brown Victory and Gettysburg
My instant fantasy of the day is to streak forward in time about 50 years and open a US History book. Scott Brown won decisively in one of the most liberal states in the Union.

Speed Cameras
Just before Halloween of 2009, I was driving with a friend from Phoenix, AZ to Los Angeles along Interstate 10. West of Phoenix there were speed cameras every three miles or so. And to make matters worse, the law enforcement officials even had portable cameras that operated from extended masts on small SUVs parked next to the highway.

We the People Video - Ray Stevens
Remember the song Ahab the Arab? It was done by Ray Stevens years ago. He's resurfaced with a country song that pretty much sums up how I feel about 90 percent of the politicians we have in power right now.

Payoffs, Ripoffs, Underpants and the Tipping Point
It's been nearly a month since I've posted here. There was no way our politicians were going to ruin my Christmas. Mind you they tried really hard with the Senate's action on the Health Care Bill just before that sacred day. Then add to that Captain Underpants Diaper Boy on Christmas Day over Detroit.
