Obama's "Scared" Comment

Our President spoke at a fundraising event last week and made a statement that is somewhat accurate. He said, " ... Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now, and facts and science and argument do not seem to be winning the day all the time, is because we're hard-wired not to always think clearly when we're scared....."

Jeanie Forrester - NH State Senate Candidate

Jeanie Forrester is running for a state senate seat in New Hampshire. I had the opportunity to meet her face-to-face the week of the primary election back in September. Because New Hampshire is such a small state, candidates running for office are usually very approachable and willing to talk with any and all voters.

Food Stamps

More than 41 million Americans receive food stamps. Statistics show that 1 in 7 people in the USA live in poverty. President Obama, as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, recently raised the eligibility level for food stamps to 200 percent of the poverty income level.
